RHEINE, GERMANY — ColorLogic GmbH is proud to announce the release of ZePrA 9, the smart color server which optimizes and automates printing data with their biggest upgrade release to date. Most noteworthy are the Spot Color Iteration Wizard and the DeviceLink Iteration Wizard. The innovative Spot Color Iteration Wizard makes best-in-class spot color rendering easy and fun. With only a few steps the spot color rendering of ZePrA can be improved and the deltaE minimized on your digital printers. For accurate proofing and for better production printing, the new DeviceLink Iteration Wizard guides you through the important and complex steps to improve the quality of the color conversion for a perfect color match.

More New and Improved Features

ZePrA 9 brings more exciting features. The Adobe Photoshop extension, Push-2-ZePrA, now has client-server capabilities. This improvement allows multiple users within one organization to use the best color converted images by applying ZePrA’s DeviceLink and spot color conversion functionalities right within Photoshop. Single or multi-user licenses are available. Also, the Spot Color Report checks the spot color conversion and color rendering of a production file before converting and printing and suggests the best configuration for the given file.

ZePrA 9 has improved and expanded on the features used every day. Easier-to-understand prompts and more functionalities have been added to the conversion options in the Images and Vectors tab. There are more options for SmartLink rules and the processing of PDF/X files. Gradation curves have been improved and can now be applied to Images or Vectors or both. A late Black Start option for spot color conversions and the most recent Callas pdfToolbox 12 / Adobe PDF engine to be used for flattening of PDF files are just some of the many upgraded features.

“This is our biggest software upgrade release yet,” states Thorsten Braun, CTO of ColorLogic. “Automation is our main mission so we added new wizards making color management setup easier than ever.”

Options and Upgrades

New ColorLogic users will find ZePrA 9 available in five different packages to fit their specified needs. Upgrades to the latest ZePrA version are available with an active Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA) or available for purchase at an upgrade price by contacting a ColorLogic dealer.
